When You're Alone and Life is Making You Lonely...

You can always go... downtown!

Yesterday I went downtown with a few of my friends to help them film a movie. I don't think I'm allowed to reveal what it's all about until they "release" it, but the general idea is to illustrate the interconnectivity of everyone. I got to play a hobo with saxophone, which is pretty darn cool in my opinion, though I was a little afraid that a real hobo would come along, so I made them film my scenes very quickly. It was also my first time riding a subway (don't be judging, I'm a suburban kid through and through). The whole thing was a blast though, and I can't wait to see the finished film.

Other than that, nothing too exciting has been going on... Well, the fall play at my school was brought to a close. I can't remember if I ever mentioned that on here, but in case I didn't, we performed a version of Cinderella. I was the Royal Page, and thus got to learn how to play a few notes on the trumpet two weeks before the performance so I could play a flourish. The show went well and was a lot of fun. It was also my last time to act on stage (I'm doing orchestra for the spring musical, and I doubt I'll act in college) so it was bittersweet. But oh well.

Speaking of college... I have to finish my art supplement to send in with my applications soon (as in, today or tomorrow). So as soon as I'm done writing this I'll
finish that. I'm quite dissapointed that we haven't been doing more projects in art class. The latest one took our class forever, becasue Ms. G kept making us redraw these vegetables... which were rotting. Anyone who knows me knows that I have a mildly severe rotting food/animal/anything phobia. So that wasn't pleasant for me. I have the finished product here (absent of anything rotting.) As always with color, it looks better in reality (though in this case, I'm still not a big fan of it in reality.) It's ok, but the subject matter is eh and I feel like I could have done it better. You'll have to stay tuned for my next project, which will be a whole lot better... It's creepy (think, witch-doctors) and of course the subject matter wasn't my choice, but I'm making it most of it and really liking how it's turning out. So stay tuned!
